These hot summer days call for a quick savoury snack that is light on the stomach and satisfying for the taste buds. With the summer vacations in sight even parents need a respite from the constant complaints of kids like “bore ho raha hu” or “phir se bhook lagi hai…” What better than our very own tasty and crispy Indian papad to come to the rescue!
- Papad ki Churi:
Possibly the easiest papad recipe ever, papad ki churi is a popular side-dish in many households. Simply crush the roasted Ram Bandhu papad of your favourite flavour and toss it in Ram Bandhu chilli powder, salt and ghee. Add some chopped onions and coriander for taste and it’s ready!
- Spicy Masala Papad:
This starter recipe is the favourite of all kids on the dining table. Heat some oil in a pan and add some mustard seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds. Add chopped onions and green chillies and sauté. Add chopped tomato and Ram Bandhu garam masala, coriander, salt and fry for a few minutes. Arrange deep-fried papads on a plate and distribute the mixture evenly and serve!
- Papad Crispies:
Dip some soft cubes of paneer in some Temptin ginger garlic paste. Blend roasted Ram Bandhu papads to a course powder. Add some salt and water to all-purpose flour and make a thin batter. Coat the paneer cubes with the batter and roll them in the powdered papad. Deep-fry them to get your mouth-watering Papad Paneer Crispies!
- Papad Katori Chaat:
Take a Ram Bandhu papad and dip it in water for a few seconds until soft. Dry it with a paper towel completely. Take a microwave-friendly bowl and place the papad over its greased surfaces. Gently press it to ensure it takes the shape of the bowl and microwave it on high for one minute. Once the papad katori is ready you can serve it with toppings of chopped veggies and garnish with sev and spices!
- Stuffed Papad:
Heat some oil in a pan and add chopped onions and slices of ginger. Add Ram Bandhu turmeric powder, Ram Bandhu red chilli powder and salt. Sauté them with a little water and add chopped tomato and diced paneer. Cook until the paneer becomes soft. Stuff the mixture in a papad and roll it. Seal with egg wash & fry the stuffed papad with oil. Serve hot.
